Yundan Gong Joins KCG as a KCG External Research Fellow
Prof. Yundan Gong, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in Development Economics in King’s College London. She joins KCG as a KCG External Research Fellow in January 2020. Her research foci lie in the fields of International Economics, Development Economics, Foreign Direct Investment and the Impact of Globalisation. She is particularly interested in exploring more about how countries like China or the United Kingdom can best use foreign direct investment to improve their overall economic performance. Yundan has for years intensively cooperated with KCG researchers, incl. Prof. Sourafel Girma (Ph.D.), Prof. Holger Görg, Ph.D., and Prof. Aoife Hanley, Ph.D., focusing on trade, direct investment, innovation and firm performance in China.
Gong completed her PhD at the University of Nottingham. Before joining King’s College London, she worked as a Senior Lecturer at Brunel University, Aston Business School and as a Research Fellow at the Department of Economics at University of Nottingham.
