Local Coordinator Meetings for Knowledge Exchange among Leibniz ScienceCampi in Kiel

The Leibniz Association currently financially supports 19 Leibniz ScienceCampi. Three of them are located in Kiel: EvoLUNG, Kiel Centre for Globalization (KCG), and Kiel Science Outreach Campus (KiSOC). All three Kiel Leibniz ScienceCampi just started in 2016. To facilitate knowledge exchange and to share lessons and best practices in coordinating campus-related activities with each other, the coordinators of the three Kiel Leibniz ScienceCampi decided to have regular meetings to make such exchange possible. The first meeting, in which Dr. Christiane Gerlach (EvoLUNG), Dr. Lorenz Kampschulte (KiSOC), and Dr. Wan-Hsin Liu (KCG) participated, was held on January 11, 2017 in Kiel. In addition to sharing with each other their experience and knowledge in coordinating campus-related activities so far, they discussed about potential challenges for further campus development in the future and explored potential common interests of the three Leibniz ScienceCampi in transferring their research findings to interested stakeholders and the public in Kiel and beyond. To continue information and knowledge exchange with each other, the coordinators planned to have their next meeting in coming April/May.
