The most important asset of the Kiel Centre for Globalization (KCG) is its international and interdisciplinary team which carries out sophisticated research on various aspects of globalization in general and of global supply chains in particular. KCG is led by Prof. Holger Görg, Ph.D. (Managing Director) who is supported by Dr. Wan-Hsin Liu (Coordinator). Currently, the KCG research team consists of 47 members. There are 14 professors from the Kiel Institute for the World Economy and the University of Kiel as Senior Fellows. They work together with 18 Fellows consisting of 12 Junior Researchers (Ph.D. Students) and 6 Postdoctoral Researchers. Furthermore there are currently 15 KCG External Research Fellows who are experienced researchers from different universities and research organizations specialized in the research fields related to the KCG research foci. There has been joint research between some of the External Research Fellows and the KCG Senior Fellows and Fellows since years.
