Second Local Coordinator Meeting in Kiel
To facilitate knowledge exchange and to share lessons and best practices in coordinating campus-related activities with each other, coordinators of the three Kiel Leibniz ScienceCampi “EvoLUNG”, “KCG”, and “KiSOC” initiated a Local Coordinator Meeting in Kiel in January, 2017. The second Local Coordinator Meeting took place at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, a scientific founding institution of the KCG, on May 17, 2017. All three coordinators, Dr. Christiane Gerlach (EvoLUNG), Dr. Lorenz Kampschulte (KiSOC), and Dr. Wan-Hsin Liu (KCG), joined the meeting.
The two-hour discussion covered a broad spectrum of topics relevant for all three Leibniz ScienceCampi in Kiel. The discussed topics included, for example, the potential joint presentation at the Night of Science late September, potential ways to ensure the research quality of the ScienceCampi, and internal further training possibilities on topics such as good scientific practice and communication strategy to the interested public etc. The next Local Coordinator Meeting is expected to take place at the Research Centre Borstel (Forschungszentrum Borstel), one of the key founders of EvoLUNG, in July/August.
