Sonali Chowdhry will join KCG in April 2019
Sonali Chowdhry will join the Kiel Centre for Globalization as a KCG Fellow on April 1, 2019. Chowdhry is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie PhD Fellow with the EU Trade and Investment Policy ITN. In her PhD, she intends to examine different modes of firm participation in foreign markets and the heterogeneous effects of globalization on multiple margins of firm activity. Prior to joining KCG, Chowdhry worked as a Junior Economist with the Ifo Institute’s Centre for International Economics. She read for the MPhil in Economics from University of Oxford and is a recipient of the prestigious Rhodes Scholarships. At Oxford, she served as Convenor to the Rhodes Economics Forum where she initiated public discourse on modern economic thinking and research methodology. At KCG, she intends to deepen her research agenda and contribute towards public understanding of pressing issues in international trade.
